Bike!

WOO HOO! Yesterday I finally got a road bike and I <3 it very much. I'm gonna save gas money AND get my big ass in to shape finally.

Classes have been pretty demanding so far for the first week but I've definitely been keeping my priorities straight as well as hanging out with friends! YAY for time management!

I'm really excited about doing a research project of my own in the Psych Baby Lab. Grace and I came up with two really good options to do our experiment on and today we meet with Jen to see which one will be better, etc.

I had a quiz in Orgo and I think I got at least a B on it which I will be okay with I suppose... I really really want to get an A in this class and I actually have no choice but to get an A so I'm hoping for that. The good news is we get to drop 2 quizzes but I want to do my absolute best on all of them.

Human Sexuality class will definitely be interesting and I am taking it with Jesse now so that'll be fun.

Work is still pretty cool - I'm slowly starting to learn the regulars and once I get to know them on a name to name basis or at least learn their drink, I'll still continue to earn mediocre tips.

That's all for now. Today is a beautiful day :]
I'm really content with how my life is right now.

As of lately, I have been working my ass off at my new job. I love it though so I don't mind too much.

I'm going to try and not get emotional too much right here but as of last night I have officially had my heart broken. I called my boyfriend after work and wanted to talk to him to see how his day was and after a few sentences, talking about when I could come to see him next, he evenutally broke it to me and said that I was not the right girl for him. Our relationship has not been picture perfect this entire time but it was for at least the first 9 months considering the circumstances of a long distance relationship. We did it before for an entire 8 months, but for some reason we couldn't do it for 2 this summer?? I was caught off guard but not completely. Lately, I have noticied that he had not been putting a lot of effort in to the relationship and I really never knew why but I didn't think it would come to a complete break-up. I really do not know what to do from here.

I've never dated anyone else but Travis before. He was my first true love and I have no idea how I can ever get him out of my mind. He was the first thing I woke up to thinking about and sadly I just started crying right when my day started. I hope this doesn't last long. He said he had wished that I could have been more emotionally independent but I thought that's what love was all about... having that person to be there for you to care for you all the time. Of course, at the end of the conversation he tells me that he will still always love me.... just to make it that much harder and ends the phone call with "Bye Babe... I mean.... Bye...."

This comes at the worst timing possible. I lost my best friend, just like the other 2, to their boyfriends. I am about to move out of this old house, thank God, and I just want to start over. I want new, older friends that are not immature and think sleeping around is 'cool'.

My Mom thinks I should date around but I really do not have the self-confidence to do that right now.

My life is a mess.

Oh yeah, and school starts soon.

ugh.

My iPod got stolen on the 4th of July and I don't think I have every taken something for granted as much as that.

I miss your my beloved iPod.... :[

Now I'm off to the lab to probably code... or organize... whatever evil things Jen has gathered in her thoughts while I have been away....

Catch Up

So a lot has happened since I last blogged but I'll keep this short since I'm in the lab and the only person that reads this is Jen, my Lab Manager. haha

I had a great time this past weekend going home. I went to a John Mayer concert with my sister and two friends and had a blast stumbling around and dancing in our VIP box :] Thanks for the free tickets!
It was really nice to see my old friends when we had another night of drunken debauchery at this old farm of my friend's Uncle. Everyone puked except for me and 3 other people... I guess we are the only ones who know our limits haha

Coming back to reality in Bloomington has made me realize once again that I have no money... sweet. I owe utilities, rent, seatbelt ticket, old utilities, and probably something else I am forgetting. So currently I am looking for some easy, fast psychology experiments that pay again! haha

Working at The Copper Cup so far has been really cool though. It's a really chill environment and I get free drinks :] What more could you ask for.

Well that's all for now. I'll update later :] I'm scared that if I look like I'm not busy enough a certain someone might start talking to me and never let me escape the rath of their all-knowingness hehe

So I talked about moving into a house and getting a pet with my boyfriend not this coming year but the following year and I completely scared the shit out of him.

In other news, I'm watching Animal Planet and loving it. It's about creatures underwater :]

Possible Side Effects

So today I was working one of my many jobs, proctoring tests, and was reading the book "Possible Side Effects" by Augusten Burroughs and they called their dog Bentley. I thought that name was adorable and immediately started to think of names for my future pets. I was thinking of rich, designer names and started thinking in French. My favorite thing to do is sing so I raced from dog names to child names and came up with Maja Chante. Chanter means to sing in French :]
Sounds like My-ya Chant-aye

Now I have a child coming in for an experiment that we are running in the lab :]

Hey, I just created this blog because I saw that Jennifer, the Grad in my lab, had one and I wanted one, too!

More later.
